1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

    2. Select the Settings ⚙️ icon then Manage users.

    3. Select Accounting firms.

    4. Select Invite.

    5. Enter my name (Megan Ward) and my email address (megan@joelynnsolutions.com), then select Save.

    6. Your job is done! I will be sent an email with a link to sign into your QBO company.

    1. Select Banking or Transactions.

    2. Select the Banking tab.

    3. If this is the first account you’re setting up, select Connect Account. (If you’ve already set up an account, select Add account or Link account if you've already created one.)

    4. In the search field, search for your bank, credit card, or credit union. Note: If you can’t find your bank let us know.

    5. Select Continue. Then sign into your bank by entering your banking username and password.

    6. Follow the onscreen steps, including any additional security checks your bank might require. It may take a few minutes to connect.

    7. Select any accounts you want to connect like your savings, checking, or credit card. Then select the Enter account type ▼dropdown and choose the matching account type from your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.

      If you don't see the right account type in the dropdown, select + Add New to create a new bank or credit card account in your chart of accounts.

      For new bank accounts:

      -In the Account Type ▼ dropdown, select Bank.

      -In the Detail Type, select Savings or Checking.

      -Give the account a name and then select Save and close.

      For new credit card accounts:

      -In the Account Type ▼ dropdown, select Credit card for the Account type.

      -Give the account a name and then select Save and close.

    8. Select how far back you want to download transactions. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.

    9. Select Connect.

    1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

    2. Select Apps from the left menu.

    3. Select Find apps at the top.

    4. In the Search apps field, enter Square then select Sync with Square.

    5. Select Get App Now.

    6. Follow the prompts to complete the process. Make sure to allow Intuit to access your Square account.

    1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

    3. Select Find apps at the top.

    4. In the Search apps field, enter Melio then select the app from the dropdown items list.

    5. Select Get App Now.

    6. Follow the prompts to complete the process. Make sure to allow Intuit to access your Melio account.

    7. Open your Melio account.

    8. Click Settings

    9. Click Account Software Sync.

    10. Quickbooks should be listed. Select Connect (if it did not automatically connect).

  • The Audit History serves as a record of all the changes made on a specific transaction. In the Audit History, you can find the following information:

    • Who made the changes.

    • When the changes were made.

    • What the changes are.

    Note: Only users with full access rights will be able to view the Audit history.

    How to access the Audit Log:

    1. Open the transaction you'd like to investigate.

    2. Select More.

    3. Select Audit History and this will open the Audit Trail.

    4. For an expanded view, select Show All, for a side-by-side comparison, select Compare.
